Fender Competition Mustang 1971 Competition Blue Vintage USA w/ OHSC
This is a super cool vintage all-original Fender Competition Mustang from 1971. The Competition Blue finish has aged really nicely from over time and now appears dark green in person. The rosewood fretboard is also nice and dark!
This guitar does show quite a bit of significant cosmetic wear from over the many years that includes various scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips etc all throughout the body with additional wear along the back of the neck and headstock. The competition blue finish has aged significantly and shows checking all throughout. There's also some light checking present on the headstock as well and the hardware shows normal tarnishing from over time. The string spacing is also quite wide for the width of the neck which is a common issue on these older Mustangs. The frets are used but still play well without any fret buzz and the electronics are functioning as they should.
This guitar is all original.
Includes the pictured OHSC. The top of the center latch is not present, but the other two work as intended.
